With the temperatures in the 90’s both days the players tried to stay cool and focus on their golf game.
Pace High School James Cobb and Danny Chevillet of Gulf Breeze battled down the stretch with James Cobb (73-76) claiming his first Emerald Coast Junior Golf Association tournament when Danny Chevillet (76-75) doubled-bogey the 17th hole and James Cobb won by two strokes. Clayton Vannoy who finished third overall won the 15-16 age group with rounds of 78-76.
Again it was another fine tournament for Gulf Breeze player Parker Remig. Parker has shown he will be a player to contend with in any tournament, or junior circuit that Parker plays in. With his second victory on the Emerald Coast tournament schedule Parker Remig (79-76) took the 13-14 age division over Brooks Steber (79-84).
In the girls division Catholic High Alexis Hazard shot her personal best tournament 84-87 but fell short of Summer Struzinski 86-81 winning score. This also marked Summer’s second Emerald Coast victory.
In the 10-12 age group we welcomed Logan Price to our association Logan showed tremendous talent shooting 87 but fell one shot short of Milton’s Ben Brown 86. These two juniors look as they will be contending every time they tee it up.
